Ben Eaves was a dynamic forward for the Boston College Eagles from 2000 to 2004. In his junior season, 2002-2003, he had an outstanding year with 18 goals and 34 assists for 52 points, earning him a Top 10 nomination for the Hobey Baker Award. That same year, he was also named a First-Team All-American, a member of the Hockey East First Team, and the Hockey East Player of the Year. A member of a decorated Boston College team, he helped lead the Eagles to a 2001 NCAA Championship as a freshman.

After his collegiate career, Eaves played professionally from 2004 to 2012. He spent the majority of his time playing in European leagues, primarily in the Finnish SM-liiga and the Swedish Hockey League. Eaves was known for his high hockey IQ, passing ability, and playmaking skills. While he never played in the NHL, he was a productive scorer in Europe and had a successful career overseas.
