Adam Gaudette
Best known as a tireless competitor, Adam Gaudette parlayed his almost 30 minutes of icetime per game in becoming the nation’s leading scorer. Adam was joined on the top line of Northeastern University by another Hobey top ten finalist Dylan Sikura (third in the nation in scoring), as the Huskies duo terrorized goalies across the land. Gaudette powered home 30 goals, dished out 30 assists and totaled 60 points in just 38 games, averaging a national best 1.58 points per game. His passion to compete at both ends of the ice with deceptive speed, earned him multiple honors including First Team All American, Hockey East Conference Player of the Year, league scoring champion and First Team all-conference. Lethal on the power play, Gaudette sniped 11 power play goals and led the nation by recording 27 power play points. The junior forward from Braintree, Massachusetts becomes the first player from Northeastern University to win the Hobey Baker Award. A Communications major, Adam signed a pro contract with the team that drafted him, the Vancouver Canucks, foregoing his senior season. Active in several community projects, Adam assisted in children’s cancer efforts, helped Northeastern students on move-in weekend and read to elementary school students. Adam spent the better part of three seasons with the Canucks, but was traded late in the 2020-21 season to the Chicago Blackhawks. Following two seasons with the Hawks, Gaudette played the 2021-22 season with the Ottawa Senators and in July of 2022, was signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Near the end of the 2022-23 season, he was traded to the St. Louis Blues organization and spent most of two seasons with Springfield of the AHL. In 2024-25, he spent the entire season with the Ottawa Senators, and then signed a two-year deal with the San Jose Sharks.
