During his collegiate hockey career at Army West Point through the 2024–25 season, Mac Gadowsky emerged as one of the premier offensive defensemen in NCAA hockey. He debuted during the 2023–24 season, recording 23 points (4 goals, 19 assists) in 28 games to lead all Atlantic Hockey rookie defensemen and earn Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team honors. Gadowsky exploded in his sophomore 2024–25 campaign, setting a school AHA-era program record with 42 points (16 goals, 26 assists) in 38 games. His stellar play made him tied for the national lead in points by a defenseman and earned him Atlantic Hockey America Best Defenseman, AHA Individual Sportsmanship Award, All-AHA First Team, and AHCA East First Team All-American honors, alongside becoming the first player in Army history named a Top 10 Finalist for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award. Beyond his achievements on the ice, Gadowsky maintained a strong commitment to academics and off-ice engagement, including:

• Cadet Community Service: Participating in military academy community outreach and student-athlete service projects.
• Youth Hockey Clinics: Volunteering at local youth hockey skill practices and development sessions in the West Point community.
• Academic Leadership & Mentorship: Serving as a peer mentor while pursuing his degree in Cyber Science, accumulating only three minor penalties across his 2024–25 campaign.
