Playing all four seasons of college hockey has certainly benefited Stramel. A complete two-way player, he uses his size well to win faceoffs, kill penalties and has become a dominant offensive force. After centering last year’s Hobey Baker Award winner, Isaac Howard, Stramel was the driver of the Spartans to a number three NPI ranking. He was named First Team all-conference in the Big Ten and a Second Team All American.
- Finished with 19 goals, 25 assists for 44 points in 37 games – Minnesota draft (1st round, 2023) and signed a pro contract with the Wild
- Communications major – 7 winning goals tied for 1st in the nation; was 4th in nationplus/minus at +29
- Played his first two seasons at Univ. of Wisconsin – was 53.7% on faceoffs
