Wade Dubielewicz played college hockey at the University of Denver from 1999 to 2003. In the 2001-02 season, as a junior, he was one of the nation’s top goaltenders, posting a remarkable 20-4-0 record with a 1.72 goals-against average and a .943 save percentage in 24 games. His stellar performance earned him a top-ten nomination for the Hobey Baker Award. He was also named to the All-WCHA First Team and was a Second-Team All-American. He finished his college career with 38 wins and a .923 save percentage.

After his collegiate career, Dubielewicz signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Islanders. He played parts of five seasons in the NHL with the Islanders, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Minnesota Wild, appearing in a total of 43 games. The majority of his professional career was spent in the AHL, where he was a standout goaltender for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. In 2003-04, he won the Dudley “Red” Garrett Memorial Trophy as the AHL’s Rookie of the Year and shared the Harry “Hap” Holmes Memorial Award for the lowest team goals-against average. He also played professionally in Russia and Germany before retiring in 2012.
