The apple didn’t fall far from the Plante family tree. Max is a Hobey finalist just like his dad Derek was back in 1993 while also playing for the Bulldogs. Plante started the season on fire collecting points in 11 of his first 13 games and enters this weekend’s NCHC championship game ranking fifth in the nation in scoring. His outstanding second season in Duluth was rewarded with First Team all-conference honors, NCHC Forward of the Year and he is also a finalist for Player of the Year.
- Has 23 goals, 25 assists for 48 points in 37 games – has 8 power play goals
- Detroit draft (2nd round, 2024) – brother Zam is his linemate at Duluth
- Has 14 multiple point games – Communications major and Scholar-Athlete
