He will go down as one of the top scoring forwards in the nation. Chris Collins blew away the competition in Hockey East winning the conference title by six points. For his accomplishments, he was named Hockey East Player of the Year and a First Team All Star. Heading into the NCAA Frozen Four with 61 points in 40 games (31-30), the alternate captain for the Eagles is second in the nation in several scoring categories: points, goals, short-handed goals (5) and his1.52 points per game average ranks second in the nation as well. Collins breakout season as a senior saw him score more goals and more points than his previous three seasons combined. Twice he was named Hockey East Player of the Month and was a spectacular plus 33 in Hockey East games. Chris won the prestigious Walter Brown Award as the top American born player in the East and is enrolled in BC’s Carroll School of Management. Collins is a pro free agent.
