Brendan Morrison was a standout player at the University of Michigan from 1993 to 1997. In his sophomore year (1994-95), he had 76 points and was a Hobey Baker Award finalist, as well as a First-Team All-CCHA selection. He was a Hobey Baker finalist for three consecutive years, ultimately winning the award in his senior season in 1997. He led the nation in scoring that year with 88 points. Morrison also won an NCAA national championship with the Wolverines in 1996, scoring the overtime winning goal. He finished his college career as the school’s all-time points leader with 284 points.

Brendan Morrison had a long and successful professional career, playing 14 seasons in the NHL with seven different teams. Drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 1993, he made his NHL debut in 1997. He is best known for his time with the Vancouver Canucks, where he played for seven seasons and was a member of the “West Coast Express” line with Markus Näslund and Todd Bertuzzi. He also won gold and silver medals with Team Canada at the World Championships in 2004 and 2005. Morrison retired from professional hockey in 2012.
