Dryden McKay
While Dryden McKay’s four-year body of work as a goalie for Minnesota State University is incomparable, his senior season was nothing short of brilliant. He established two NCAA records: most wins in a season with 38 and most career shutouts with 34. Backstopping the Mavericks to two straight Frozen Four national championship tournaments, McKay concluded his senior season with a 38-5 record, a 1.31 goals against average (2nd in the nation), .931 saves percentage (7th in the nation) and for the third straight season, 10 shutouts (tied 2nd in the nation). McKay’s record-breaking season included multiple honors: CCHA Player of the Year, Goalie of the Year and First Team all-conference. McKay has now earned the distinction as the conference Goaltending Champion four straight seasons along with four straight all-conference honors. Additionally, he was named an All American for the third straight season (two on First Team, one on Second Team). He became just the third goalie to win college hockey’s most prestigious individual award, and was a top ten nominee three straight seasons, the past two as a Hobey Hat Trick top three finalist. McKay’s technically sound play led to an 18-game winning streak going into the national championship game, allowing two or fewer goals in 34 of 43 games played. McKay signed a free agent contract with the Toronto Marlies (AHL). He just completed his fourth season of pro hockey, finishing up with the Bloomington Bison of the ECHL.

A creative offensive player with elite hockey sense, Brink leads the nation in several categories: most points, most assists and he is the only player in the nation averaging one and half points per game. His breakout season earned him the NCHC scoring title and First Team accolades, while being a finalist for Player of the Year and Forward of the Year in the nine-year old conference.

A dynamic, 200-foot player, Meyers co-captained the Golden Gophers to a regular season Big Ten title, finishing second in conference scoring with 36 points in 30 games. His sensational season earned him Big Ten Player of the Year and First Team all-conference honors. Meyers played for Team USA at the Beijing Olympics finishing second in team scoring. In his four games since his return to the Gophers lineup, he has tallied five goals and five assists.
