Reid Cashman was a standout defenseman for the Quinnipiac University Bobcats from 2003 to 2007. His most notable season came in 2004-2005, when he became the first player in Quinnipiac history to be a Top 10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award. That year, he led the Bobcats with 45 points on 13 goals and 32 assists. His performance earned him recognition as the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year and a spot on the Atlantic Hockey First Team. In addition to his individual accolades, he holds the school records for career assists (125) and points (148) by a defenseman.

After his impressive college career, Cashman signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. He played professionally from 2007 to 2011, spending time with various teams in the AHL and the ECHL. He also played a season in Austria with the EHC Black Wings Linz before retiring. Following his playing career, Cashman transitioned into coaching and is currently the head coach of the men’s hockey team at Dartmouth College. He previously served as an assistant coach at Quinnipiac and with the Washington Capitals in the NHL
