Keith Aldridge had a stellar college hockey career as a defenseman for Lake Superior State University from 1992 to 1996. He was a key member of the 1994 NCAA National Championship team and served as an assistant captain in his senior season. In his final year, Aldridge’s strong offensive contributions from the blueline earned him a spot as a top-ten finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, which is given to the top college hockey player in the nation. He was also named a First-Team All-American and the CCHA’s Best Offensive Defenseman that same year, finishing his collegiate career with 139 points.
After college, Aldridge went on to have a professional career that spanned 10 years. While he was undrafted, he signed with the Dallas Stars and played four games with the team during the 1999-2000 season. Most of his professional career was spent in the American Hockey League (AHL) and International Hockey League (IHL), where he was a productive player. He also played four seasons in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga in Germany before retiring.
