Denny Felsner was a highly accomplished collegiate hockey player for the University of Michigan from 1989 to 1992. He was an incredibly productive forward, leading the team in scoring during both his junior and senior seasons. He holds the single-season record for points by a senior with 94 and ranks second on the Wolverines’ all-time career points list with 261, including a program-record 139 goals. His exceptional performance was recognized with a top-10 nomination for the Hobey Baker Award in 1991. Felsner was also a two-time First-Team All-American.
Following his college career, Felsner was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 3rd round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. He went on to play professionally from 1991 to 2000, which included time in the National Hockey League with the Blues, as well as various stints in minor leagues such as the AHL, IHL, and ECHL. Felsner was a member of the All-CCHA Rookie Team in 1988-89 and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player twice, in 1991 and 1992.
