Erik Anderson was a standout forward for St. Lawrence University from 1997 to 2001. In his senior season (2000-01), he was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award. He recorded 51 points on 17 goals and 34 assists in 32 games, helping lead the Saints to their second consecutive ECAC championship. Anderson finished his college career with 148 points in 140 games and was named to the All-ECAC First Team in both his junior and senior seasons.

After his college career, Anderson played professionally for several years in the AHL and ECHL. He spent time with the Milwaukee Admirals and the Toledo Storm before playing overseas. He also had stints with teams in the British Ice Hockey Superleague, Danish league, and the UHL before retiring in 2007.
