Zack has played the game the right way the entire time we have known him. If there is a situation that requires a tough play (which is just about every single situation in hockey), he can be counted on every single time. Hockey is undoubtedly a team game, but championships are won because of players like Zack – the guys who will block a shot or give every last ounce of energy they have to finish a backcheck just to limit a scoring opportunity for the opponent. Our program is lucky to have had him play here, and while he will be missed every day at practices and games as he goes on to play at the next level, he will always be an example to future players of how the game should be played.
