Tyra has a love for Hockey that began at a young very age playing for River Lakes at the youth level. She was voted captain by her teammates for the past two seasons. Tyra plays Tennis, Softball and is a member of the Trap Shooting team. She is a member of the National Honor Society where she has coordinated four local blood drives collecting over 250 units of blood. She is a fixture on the High School Honor Roll. She finds time to have a job as well. Tyra brings maturity and calmness to her younger linemates. She has shown great respect towards her coaches throughout her hockey career. Tyra has given the River Lakes Girls Hockey Team consistent team leadership over the past two seasons. I am nominating Tyra Johnson from River Lakes for the Hobey Baker Award for 2019-2020.
