Toni has all the characteristics that a Hobey Baker recipient should have. She is extremely committed to River Hill Ice Hawks and several other teams she plays for. She leads by example on and off the ice. Toni always has a smile on her face but when on the ice she is a fierce competitor. Her on and off ice leadership skills have been phenomenal! Toni is the River Hill captain. She was elected team captain by her teammates her junior year. Her personality and work ethic flowed from her into the team. She is a natural leader. Firm and kind at the same time. She can praise her teammates and she can call them out. Toni Smith is a determined and intelligent young woman who is beginning to create a vision of her future. Your Hobey Baker award would have no better recipient than Toni Smith.
