Countdown to Hobey:

Spencer Bourdeau

2021 | Michigan | BOYS

Escanaba | Eskymos | BOYS

Spencer has been a 4 year player for the Eskymos and represented the program with a great deal of respect. Spencer was always very respectful towards coaches, game officials, opponents, and his team mates. Spencer was very dedicated to the game, working harder each year to increase his role as a player. Due to his dedication and hard work he was chosen to be an assistant captain his senior year, which handled very well by his performance in practice and games. Spencer’s maturity and his lead by example mentality throughout his high school career gave him confidence to be a more vocal leader in the locker room and on the bench.

Spencer has also been involved in the community on many different occasions by volunteering at the Community Action Thanksgiving Dinner, Reading to local elementary students during March reading month, and different tasks for a local racing club.

Throughout Spencer’s high school career he has learned to respect the game and take pride in everything that he does, both on and off the ice. It has taught him about how to be a good team mate and expectations as you mature as a player. He has learned the importance of character and in order to be successful at anything you have to put the work in each and every day no matter if someone’s watching or not. With that being said, Spencer deserves to be a candidate of the Hobey Baker High School Character Award.
