Roby is a 4 year letterman, 2 year captain, and a tri-athlete. He plays baseball, bowling and hockey. Roby is a hard worker and a true leader, he excels in all sports as well as carries a 3.8 GPA while juggling all these sports. Roby earned the NHC honorable mention the past 2 years and also earned the Ed Kretz Courage award and i believe that speaks volumes of his character and true sportsmanship doing what he loves but also while setting examples and leading his team to be better people as well as better hockey players. This is Roby’s senior year and I have been lucky to coach him 3 out of 4 years and what makes this year special is how hes stepped up during our rebuild process and been patient with the younger players and has helped them grow, battle adversity and always work hard. I believe Roby represents all the values for the Hobey Baker Award and this is a huge honor he will cherish.
