Peter is in his first year playing varsity hockey and it is his first year back on the ice since playing bantams in middle school. Peter is the only senior on a team that graduated 12 seniors and lost two of his peers to juniors and prep school. Peter is mature beyond his years and he truly leads by example. This young team looks to Peter for guidance on and off the ice and I have been impressed by his demeanor and willingness to play this role despite not getting all the playing time he desires. He truly puts the team first and as a coach he impresses me daily with his work ethic.

Our team went through some adversity half way through the season and Peter stepped up in a big way. He started 4 games and he was our team’s biggest leader in when we needed one the most. So much so that I made him a captain for the remainder of the year. Peter is a young man that I will never forget and someone that will be very successful in whatever he chooses.
