Patrick, you are awarded for the Hobey Baker High School Character Award. I chose you because you exemplify that “character builds excellence.â€_x009d_

I am honored to have known and coach you for the last 5 years. I have seen you grow into a great hockey player and a great person as well. I remember you coming up to me with your mother with the interest for hockey. You started from in-house and made your way to playing competitive hockey. Most kids shy away from playing a new sport because they didn’t want the challenge. I saw that you loved the game as much as I do.

I am giving you this award for stepping up to the challenge and conquering the game of hockey. I am proud to see and hear your great season last year with your travel and high school team. I can’t wait to finish this long hockey journey with you and hope you continue to play the sport as long as you can just like your other brothers from DLS.

Your are not only getting this award for hockey but for your character. You have done great in academics and helping out your community. You are a great teammate and leader. You are well respected from your teammates, coaching staff, and friends. Thank you for letting me coach you and I enjoyed seeing you grow on and off the ice.
