Owen has been on the Varsity Ice Hockey team all four years at Chantilly High School and leaves with a long list of accomplishments behind his name. He was voted this year’s Captain by his teammates and coaches. He is one of Chantilly’s top-three all-time scorers and led the Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League (NVSHL) in both goals and points for both his Junior and Senior seasons, earning back-to-back NVSHL Player of the Year honors along the way. In his Senior year, he averaged 3.5 goals per game and led the team to the NVSHL Championship game for the first time in school history. He is a leader both in his on-ice play and his off-ice demeanor. While he is often the best player on the ice at any given time, he works hard to make all of the players on the ice with him better. Off the ice, he excels in the classroom and has achieved NVSHL All-Academic honors all four years at Chantilly. For these reasons, Owen Morgan is Chantilly High School’s 2020 Hobey Baker Character Award winner.
