Michael is the ultimate team player. A two-year back-up as a goalie, he could have easily been the starter on another team. Instead, he worked hard each and every day to make himself and his team better. He does everything right on and off the ice. Sadly, Michael lost his father two years ago, and his courage and strength in the wake of this tragedy has been nothing short of inspirational. He embodies everything about the Hobey Baker character award.
