Maria has consistently shown courage, determination, character and sportsmanship during her four years with Dulaney hockey. She consistently has stood up to the challenge of playing against boys, many of whom were much bigger than she. She is a super hard worker and a great example both on and off of the ice. She has been one of the team GPA leaders her entire career. Her devotion to hockey is unquestioned, traveling extensively in order to compete at the highest levels possible. Maria definitely fulfills the characteristics of a Hobey Baker award winner.
