Madison was selected because she is the model student-athlete. Over the past four years I have learned that Madison is a hard worker in all aspects of her life, is willing to do whatever the team needs her to do, is coach-able and a natural born leader on and off the ice. To have the pleasure of coaching a student-athlete as well rounded as Madison doesn’t come often. She may not be our top scorer but makes an impact in all areas of the ice. Even through frustration she has a smile on her face, a demeanor that encourages others on the team to fight through adversity and remain positive in the face of adversity. It is my hope that I cross paths with more student-athletes like Madison because they make all the time and effort put into coaching a high caliber team worth it.
