Madelyn is a goal orientated, dedicated and self motivated individual. She rises to the occasion and is at her best during every practice and game. Her competitive nature makes her an outstanding performer under pressure. She displays sportsmanship at all times and is an excellent role model. Madelyn is a tremendous leader and understands the importance of leading by example. She is well respected by her teammates and is admired by her coaches for her work ethic. She is extremely coachable and always willing to help others. Madelyn is a four year varsity player and has had a huge impact on the team’s success over the years. The team won State Champs 2018, Runner up state champs 2017 and Division Champs 2016. Madelyn is a selfless player and would rather pass when she has the opportunity rather than to score herself. Madelyn has been awarded- First team All division, second team Providence Journal All state 2018, Second team all division and all state 2017, third team all division 2016.
Beyond her hockey career Madelyn also plays field hockey and softball. Winning 4 state championships in her high school career- 2 Field Hockey, 1 Softball and 1 in Hockey. Madelyn has remained on the honor roll all four years and accepted into the National Honor Society. Madelyn has been a member of the Athletic Advisory Committee for Barrington High School for the past four years along with being a Student Ambassador. Madelyn received the award for Home Town Hero Award 2018. In her free time she has donated her time for the past four years to GPYHA special hockey and in Madelyn’s own words special hockey has made me the person I am today
