Lydia is the epitome of what the Hobey Baker Award stands for; hard working, perseverant, and a team first mentality. Lydia has been an outstanding representative for LDC Girls Hockey from the moment she stepped foot on the varsity ice as a freshman. She demonstrates a great compete level that pushes not only herself to get better each day, but her teammates as well. She is also the type of teammate who is always uplifting and has been a great role model for younger players as our captain this year. Playing with a broken foot since the beginning of our season has demonstrated her perseverance and unwavering determination to be on the ice for her teammates at all cost. All of these attributes and character traits make Lydia a well deserved recipient of this prestigious award.
