Kyle Martini is the 2019- 2020 Hobey Baker Award Winner based on the way he plays the game, carries himself and provides an outstanding example to the underclassman as to how a player should honor the game, the opposing team, the officials and has always had a positive effect on everything and everyone he encounters.
As a Senior member and assistant Captain of our team, Kyle has always shown to be humble in victory and maintained a dignified sense of grace in defeat. Kyle was a tremendous leader of the team where he again, had a sense of when to step up and calm things down, while at other times simply led by example as to what it is like to play the game and conduct yourself in the most gentlemanly way….the way Hobey Baker did. This Senior player lived up to all of these qualities as a player a person and a gentleman to insure Hobey Baker’s legacy lives on.
