As captain of the Mustang hockey team Justin provided valuable leadership and mentoring for younger players. Over the course of his four year varsity career, he always conducted himself with integrity and was a commensurate sportsman. He often provided positive encouragement to newer less experienced players. No matter how heated the contest, he never chastised or taunted other players or officials. In fact during his career he participated in over 100 games and scrimmages and earned the reputation of being Mr. Hustle working both ends of the ice with equal intensity but never in an un-sportsman like manner. Regardless of the outcome, he was always the first to shake an opposing players hand.
