Joey decided to start playing hockey his junior year after a cousin he was very close to that played hockey lost his life in an automobile accident. Joey wanted to do this in his memory. He worked hard to build his skills during the summer before his junior year and became a top four defenseman that year. He continued to work hard and develop his skills over the next year showing great commitment to our team. His leadership in the early part of the pre-season gained the respect and notice of the younger players. The team voted him team captain for the 2019-2020 season. Joey continues to show respect for the game, his teammates, his coaches, and opponents. His leadership will be missed.
