Jonathan Hillelsohn
2021 | Virginia | BOYS
Chantilly High School | Chargers | BOYS
Jonathan (Jono) has been Chantilly’s starting Varsity goalie for all four of his years at Chantilly High School and leaves some big pads to fill. He was voted this year’s Co-Captain by his teammates and coaches and served as Alternate Captain last season. He led Chantilly to the playoffs all four years of his career, including the State Championship game for the first time in school history his junior year and the State semi-final the year prior. In the 2018-19 season, among the 8 goalies who played all of their team’s minutes, he had the best GAA, most shutouts, and fewest goals against in the entire Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League. Jono works hard to make all of the players on the ice with him better, constantly talking to his defensemen and mentoring younger players. Off the ice, he is an excellent student and participates in many extracurricular activities. For these reasons, Jono Hillelsohn is Chantilly High School’s 2021 Hobey Baker Character Award winner.
