Jeff Petruno is a true hockey player and has been a delight to coach the past 3 seasons. His strong character showing passion, strong work ethic and leadership skills made him an easy choice to be captain his senior year. Jeff would often spread positive energy and was enthusiastic about our team. He did all the things he expected out of his teammates and would take on extra responsibilities to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Jeff earned the respect of his peers by working hard and setting high standards. He made sure the team showed integrity both on and off the ice to represent Walled Lake Western in the best way possible. Jeff’s parents did a great job raising such a fine person and I’m glad I had the opportunity to coach him
