Marvin Ridge Mavericks | Mavericks | COED
As a key member of Mavericks, Jake served as the team captain. Of all the players on the team and the coaches looked to Jake to as a leader, liaison, and voice for the team. Jake led by example by never missing a practice, showing up ready for every game and bringing the utmost intensity in every game situation. The thing about Jake was that he was always respectful of his coaching staff and teammates. He was willing to listen to new concepts and offer up many of his own. By showing his Positive Attitude, Sportsmanship and Leadership, he has been a once in a lifetime addition to this team. As a natural leader of the team, I would often consult with him on new ideas, concepts and practice ideas before implementing them. I had a great deal of respect for Jake’s hockey knowledge and skills as well as his understanding of his teammates mindset. As the leader of the team, I would often consult with Jake on new ideas, concepts and practice ideas before implementing them. I had a great deal of respect for Jake’s hockey knowledge and skills as well as his understanding of his teammates mindset. As coach, I successfully utilized Jake several times in games to motivate and energize his teammates. Jake has great hockey sense and skills and all-in-all he is just a well-rounded young man, both on and off the ice and I look forward to his future as a great leader.

•Youth Hockey Instructor (Tuesday and Thursdays from August 2018 to March 2019)
oEach player from my team would help mentor and instruct younger children looking to play ice hockey. We met with the different youth teams and interacted with the kids as well as assisted them in learning essential hockey skills such as skating, stickhandling, and shooting.
