Hannah Lysne
2019 | Minnesota | GIRLS
Champlin Park/Coon Rapids | Bluebirds | GIRLS
Hannah Lysne started playing varsity hockey for us at Champlin Park High School as a freshman. When she came into the program she had all the skills in the world, but her strength was lacking as was who she wanted to be on the team. Her 1st Varsity goal came in a holiday tournament as she shot the puck from the blueline it bounced and went over the goalie into the net, it could not even make it to the net in the air. She was embarrassed some. However that moment in time changed how she wanted to be perceived as a hockey player in my eyes. Not only did she work relentlessly on her shot , her core strength and her hockey ability, out of all of this she grew into the person she is today. Her character is 2nd to none , work ethic is the best I have ever seen and her leadership skills are off the charts as a captain. With all of that she loves hockey with a passion that is fun to see, she loves to pass on her knowledge to all of the young D, as well as her leadership skills to the future captains. Hannah Lysne is an outstanding recipient of this award!!! you may not find a better character kid than her, she will play her college hockey at St. Benz.
