Gretchen is a great example of what this award represents. She has been a reliable leader for our team over the years and is a superb example of a hard working kid every time she gets on the ice. Gretchen has always been the middle of the pack for her skill level, but that has never deterred her desire to learn and get better each day. She always is asking for guidance and direction on how to become a better player, how to lead her teammates properly and how to contribute each game for the overall benefit of the team. When times are tough during a game, she is one to be looked upon for encouragement, positivity and guidance throughout the game. She also has a strong presence in her community and thankless hours devoted to helping others in many different facets. I am honored to nominate such a great kid for this award, she is well deserving of it.
