Grant Wagner is an exceptional young man that lives out the ideals of the Hobey Baker Memorial Award every day. As a sophomore – Grant played a consistent role among the mix of our players. However, as a junior, Grant saw less and less ice time, due to game situations and new players on the team. Motivated by his decreasing ice time, Grant worked extremely hard over the summer and came back ready to go – so much so – he was voted our team captain this season. Never one to let obstacles get in his way, Grant has remained dedicated to the sport he clearly loves after suffering several devastating injuries over the course of his high school career. His character could never be questioned as he is the role model for our players of how a teammate should act and conduct themselves both on and off the ice. He is an outstanding young man who we are extremely pleased to grant this award to!
