Lakeshore/ St. Joseph’s nomination for the 20-21 Hobey Baker Award goes to one of our captains, Evan Boes. Boes excelled not only on the ice but also in the classroom and has been a major contributor to our team throughout the season. Evan is a senior at S. Joseph High School (MI) and currently holds a 3.67 GPA while enrolled in Honors and AP courses. On the ice Evan is a hard working two way player that doesn’t look for attention. Boes has an outstanding presence on the ice and only makes the players around him better. Evan came in 10th in the league in scoring. In 18 league games played, Boes scored 11 goals and added 7 assists with a +/- of +7 with only 8 PIMS. Not only has Boes played consistently throughout the season but Evan has also stepped up in the city payoffs and continues to put up points when the team needs it.
