Eric Chartier embodies all of the characteristics of Hobey Baker. He is an outstanding student, a great leader, a phenomenal teammate, and a wonderful representative of our community. Academically, he near the top of his class, taking only the hardest classes our school has to offer. He is a captain in three sports — soccer, hockey, and tennis — and was also selected as an All-State performer in soccer. On the ice, in 74 career games, he has only been assessed four penalties. As a team member and friend, there is no equal. When a teammate suffering from anxiety and depression threatened to harm himself, Eric rushed over and sat with him, providing a calming influence, until help could arrive. Eric always has a pleasant demeanor, is the most coachable player I have ever had in my 10 years as coach, and is truly proud to wear the colors of the Andover Huskies.
