Emerald Kelley
2020 | Minnesota | GIRLS
East Ridge | Raptors | GIRLS
Emerald has a huge passion for the game of hockey and is always striving to improve her own game. She seeks out feedback, more constructive than positive, and implements suggestions and observations into her skill development. Emerald holds herself accountable both on and off the ice. After giving up a goal, she looks at herself first and what she can do to get into a better position to make a save. She is respectful to her teammates and her opponents and leads by example with her strong work ethic. Emerald takes the initiative to talk with the younger goaltenders on the team to help them be their best and improve their game. Furthermore, Emerald overcame a significant injury that sidelined her for her entire sophomore season. While she was unable to participate on the ice, she continued to support her teammates off the ice. She was diligent in her rehab and became a starting goaltender her junior season. Her hockey journey is a true inspiration to many.
