Ella Waryas is a 4 year player who has steadily improved as a player and leader. She was awarded ‘Most Improved’ after her sophomore year and was named as captain for her junior & senior years. Ella has been been a steady source of leadership and mentorship to her teammates. Ella is the type of player that every coach relies on to keep the team focused on positivity and good sportsmanship. She leads by example both on and off the ice. This has never been as important as it was this year, with the team navigating three quarantine periods through the course of the season. She helped steer the team through each setback with positive messages, an eye to the future, and served as a constant source of inspiration to her peers. Ella has served as a beacon of unselfish commitment to her team and the ideals of sportsmanship in hockey and is deserving of this esteemed award.
