Collin came to our team in his Junior year in HS and we immediately wished he had been there since his freshman year with his high energy, great attitude, willingness to learn, and eventually leadership. Collin is a hard-working forward with an impressive skill set, but his most valuable skill is his leadership of his teammates. This leadership comes naturally through his compassion and eagerness to help all of his teammates regardless of position on the team. He is the type of player who will continue to work hard and support his teammates whether up 5 or down 5. His drive to succeed and compete is certainly going to transition to whatever challenge he is faced with in life. It is for these reasons that Collin Barroso is the Lakers 2018-2019 Hobey Baker Memorial Award winner.
