Colin Walsh
2021 | Maryland | COED
Ram Ice Hockey | Ram Hockey | COED
The RAM Ice Hockey Club is proud to nominate Colin Walsh for the 2021 MSHL Hobey Baker Award.
Colin has been a great teammate during the four years he has been at RAM Ice Hockey Player. He is a team leader both on and off of the ice, continuously earning the respect from his fellow teammates, coaches and manager for his maturity. This year Colin was awarded a C on his jersey.
Colin has a positive attitude both on and off if the ice. Colin respects the game of hockey his teammates and coaches. When ever he had anything to say during the game it was always positive.
Colin has participated in all of the practices, varsity games and jv games when asked to play. He works hard to hone his craft during practice and games, Improving each year by working hard.
Colin is one of our goalies who never complained. Colin would provide his teammates constructive instruction during and after the games.
In addition to hockey, Colin has completed over 160 Student Service Learning (SSL) Hours, most of them by volunteering with the MYHA Mites program, working with the Mites goalies for many (early) Saturday mornings. He plays ice hockey in both the RAM and MYHA house programs and plays Varsity Lacrosse at Magruder.
When not playing hockey, Colin is an avid landscaper and has several clients of his own that he does lawn work for and also has been working at Gunpowder Golf Course for almost a year on their maintenance crew.
Next year he plans to attend one of the local community colleges, still deciding on programs of study.
It was a pleasure coaching Colin these last four years. I have no doubt Colin will be a team player and successful in life in whatever path he takes in his future!
Coach Trey
