Cole served two years as a team captain for the Columbus Academy hockey team. As a new program with many players who are still learning the game, Cole is constantly taking his time to help his teammates in practice, showing a high level of maturity and dedication to the team. In games he leads by example, displaying consistent effort on the ice and always treating officials and opposing teams with respect.
