Cole Evjen is a senior in high school and the captain of the Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato Boys high school hockey team. Cole has made it a point to be a three sport athlete and to be a leader for younger student athletes. Cole participates in football, hockey, baseball, weight training, and the schools leadership program. Cole has been a leader on the high school hockey team for the past two years and this year he was nominated to be the captain of the team. Cole leads by example with his hard work and dedication to the sport of hockey and his teammates. Cole also pushes his teammates to be the best they can be on and off the ice. This year Cole has had to share power play time with a younger teammate and Cole has been nothing but supportive and helpful towards this teammate. Cole is definitely a selfless person who puts the team and his teammates first. Cole is one of those players you love to have on your team because of his selfless and humble personality and his great leadership skills on and off the ice. Cole Evjen is definitely a person who represents the outstanding qualities of the Hobey Baker Award.
