Carson is a student athlete of outstanding character. He plays both high school soccer and football for Huron High School, was Captain of the boys soccer team this fall, and named All Conference for the past two seasons. He is the captain of our Huron Varsity boys hockey team, leading both with his spectacular play and his prominent integrity. Carson gives back to his community in many ways. He is active within his church. He is a leader of his church youth group and plans games and activities for both youth group and the AWANA program for the past four years. He also serves as an assistant in the nursery at church and within the Vacation Bible School program. Carson gives back to the youth in Huron through soccer by reffing youth soccer games and helping to run and organize an indoor soccer tournament. He also has volunteered at local nursing homes with his hockey and football teams. He is a counselor for Hockey Ministries International and hosts the Center for Independence at the hockey rink. He is an active camp counselor at Byron Bible Camp leading games, skits, activities, teaching skills, and leading group discussions for the youth who attend these camps. Carson also spoke at the district youth conference and has volunteered at the Operation Christmas Child Distribution Center. He has spent time working through the Child Evangelism Fellowship and the Pine Ridge Reservation. Carson has a great impact on not only his teammates and coaches but also the youth of Huron. He makes those around him better.
