Brooke Weber
2015 | Minnesota | GIRLS
Hastings | Raiders | GIRLS
Brooke is one of the finest leaders and players Hastings girls hockey has had regardless of position. She came in as a freshmen and was forced into a starting role due to an injury to our then senior goalie. She immediately became the bedrock and foundation of our team that the girls have known they could depend on. A four year leader in our advanced fitness and training class, Brooke is one of the hardest working girls on and off the ice we’ve ever had. She has set the tone, consistently at everything we ask the girls to participate in and brings others along with her. As coaches, we have never allowed a goalie to be named captain and told our girls not to vote for her. Despite this, she was the second highest vote getter. In her four years she has consistently championed the other goalies on our team. In numerous games each season she has asked us to play her back up to insure she gets ice time. She is a mentor to both the girls and boys goalies throughout Hastings, volunteering her time to help coach on and off the ice. Her work ethic, character and leadership are second to none and she will be sorely missed when she graduates.
