Ben Watson is being selected for his character and leadership over his four years on the Marriotts Ridge Ice Hockey team. Not only was Ben a leader with his hockey skills he was a mentor and leader to his teammates. This year Ben served as the team’s captain and led the team to win the county championship. Ben modeled commitment, coachability, integrity, teamwork and sportsmanship. He often congratulated opponents and always modeled sportsmanship. Ben not only became a vocal leader but he also led through his actions and character. Ben often helped teach other players and encourage his team during games. Ben is an outstanding kid and well deserving of the Hobey Baker Award for the Marriotts Ridge Ice Hockey team. Thank you for your consideration.
