Character and love of the game are two phrases that have to be used when looking at Austin Reasoner. The obstacles that Austin repeatedly overcomes in his life to excel at the game he loves has been nothing short of extraordinary. In the two years I have had the privilege of coaching him – I do not think he has ever truly played at 100% of his potential – due to injuries, bumps / bruises, wear n tear – whatever phrase one might use to describe his health. Austin has been an unequivocal lead by example, heart and soul player for the Fort Wayne Vipers. His passion for hockey shines through above all else when you see the joy and excitement he brings to every practice, game, and team function. There is no doubt that he always gives you his best effort in everything that he does. I am extremely proud of the young man Austin has developed into and am truly excited to see what the future brings for him!
