Alex Hougland, Senior Leader, has earned this merit in “thought word and deed.â€_x009d_
As a senior leader he has fulfilled all of the requirements and emphasized what it means to be a student athlete.
He has very good grades, spectacular attendance at school and at the rink.
He has played his role/position as a Defenseman, as a stopper, with physical presence, and special teams leader. He has scored timely goals and has had meaningful assists at crucial times in our games.
He has been a leader to his team mates particularly the lower class-man both on and off the ice. He has done everything that we have asked of him from a coaches stand point with team systems and adjustments during our games. He is a fearless unselfish leader that leads by example. He will be successful in all his life’s endeavors and where every Alex goes, and what ever Alex ends up doing in life.

Our coaching staff has made a unanimous decision to ask Alex to except this award.
We are very honored and proud to have him on this team.
