It is an honor to nominate and recommend senior Alex Thorvilson for the High School Hobey Baker Award recognizing outstanding character in a high school hockey player.

I’ve coached Alex for 3 years as part of the Century High School Boys Hockey program and he not only personifies the values of Panther Hockey but the character values of Hobey Baker.

Alex’s strength of character is on display throughout the game of hockey as well as in his school and community. Alex has always been a hardworker on and off the ice who displays excellent sportsmanship but this year, as a senior, emerged as a strong team leader. These character traits are not only valuable to himself but serve as credit to our hockey program and an example to his teammates.

I’m extremely honored to recommend senior Alex Thorvilson for this year’s Century Hockey program High School Hobey Baker Award.
