Alex Herrera is a player that has overcome a lot of adversity during his time in high school. As a freshman, his size limited him from being able to play Varsity. During his sophomore year, he had to overcome multiple injuries, although he showed he had the speed and ability to play at the higher level. As a junior, he made major strides and showed to be a top player on the team. Alex never complains, is a leader to his peers, and works hard to better himself and his game.

Alex has been a pleasure to coach, and is very deserving of the Hobey Baker High School Character Award.
